This new, innovative gate design allows the CMC Manual Lock carabiner to stay unlocked until put into service – then a quick ¼ turn locks the gate. Unlike an auto-lock carabiner, the Manual Lock does not need to be unlocked to remove it from your gear rack. Unlike a screw-lock carabiner, there is no nut to vibrate open or over tight, making it an excellent choice for helicopter operations or other high vibrations environments. Gate can be opened or closed with one hand. A “skull & crossbones” shows through the sleeve to visually warn the user when the gate is in the unlocked position.
