We wanted a high strength aluminum carabiner that could reduce the weight of fire service ladder belts. The extra large size and the 2 inch wide gate opening allow the carabiner to fit easily over stretcher rails, anchor points, cables, and posts while the weight is less than half of steel alternatives.
