Bail out, self rescue, personal escape techniques, Rapid Intervention Team, RIT, and their respective gear, including search and escape kits, are important tools for providing a means of immediate, personal escape, for locating a down firefighter, and for providing guidance when retracing your path under conditions of limited visibility.
This class, specifically targets Firefighters and Fire Officers who are interested in purchasing the Petzl EXO escape system (FDNY PSS). The Petzl system cannot be purchased without this mandatory training class.
