Petzl EXO 3- Day "Train The Trainer" Authorization Course (Pay for ONE-Employee who can train ALL)

Tuesday-Thursday, May 13-15, 2008: The first annual 3-Day EXO Train The Trainer presented by Rescue Response Gear and Corporate Trainers from Petzl America. Participants will become authorized to train in the use of the EXO Personal Escape System.

Petzl REQUIRES that the EXO Personal Escape System (see the EXO page with video) cannot be purchased without authorization (whether end user or as an in-house trainer). This is a 3-Day Train The Trainer course allows In-House Training Officers to train their own department personnel in the EXO PES. (See pricing in dropdown below). EXO Personal Escape System: Completion of this day-long course meets Petzl's end-user authorized training requirements for use of the EXO Personal Escape System (see the EXO page with video). The program is intended to train firefighters on the design, construction, proper carry, deployment and use of this unique personal bailout system. The EXO system provides firefighters with the means to escape a multi-story building in seconds when exiting by conventional egress points is no longer possible. Inspection, care and maintenance of the EXO Personal Escape System will also be covered. All participants will have the opportunity to trouble-shoot the system and perform several bailout procedures under different but realistic conditions and scenarios.

Fire Department Questions	Answers
1. Can our fire department obtain a sample EXO System for testing?	Yes, but you must first have a Petzl Sales representative provide a 2 hour long demonstration of the EXO system to your organization’s assigned test personnel. The EXO system must be returned following testing.
2. Can individual firefighters purchase the EXO system without their fire departments approval?	Yes, but you must first attend an EXO end user course before purchasing the kit. Call Rescue Response Gear for certification dates.
3. Can Petzl recommend training organizations that provide EXO system end user and train the trainer courses?	Yes. Also, as a uniquely certified demonstration site for the EXO system, Rescue Response Gear is equipped to provide certified training courses through their partner Authorized Training organizations.
4. Can fire departments have their Training Officers participate in an EXO trainer course so that they can in turn train their own firefighters?	Yes. You can qualify to become an Authorized EXO trainer. Contact Petzl or Rescue Response Gear for more information.
5. Can these Training Officers train other fire departments outside their department?	No. This qualification is specific to your organization.
6. Can fire departments purchase the EXO and Triact carabiner components separately from their kits?	No. The EXO kit is engineered as a complete system and is manufactured, tested and inspected under Petzl’s ISO 9001 quality control standard and certified under NFPA standards as a complete personal escape system.
