$94.95 A11 The Petzl Vertex is a ventilated helmet for work at height and rescue. Comfortable and durable helmet with ventilation, meets requirements for working at height (note: provides no protection from electrical hazards). • Adjustable ventilation: 5 holes on each side, can be closed with 2 sliding shutters. • Chin strap designed to decrease the risk of the helmet coming off due to impact during a fall (breaking strength of more than 50 daN as required by the EN 12492 mountaineering helmet standard ). • Polycarbonate shell resists impact and wear (EN 397 and EN 12492 standards). • Meets optional requirements of the EN 397 standard: lateral deformation, use at low temperatures (down to - 30 °C). • Does not meet optional requirements of the EN 397 standard regarding electrical insulation and molten metal splash due to the ventilation holes. • Customizable: - side slots for mounting a face shield and/or standard hearing protection (Peltor, Bilsom, 3M, etc.), - shell designed with clearance over the ears to accomodate hearing protection, - integral headlamp clips. • Simple, complete adjustability: - a single adjustment wheel adjusts the headband and has 2 height positions, - chin strap position adjusts forward or backward, - position of straps around the ears can be adjusted (rear clip with 2 positions), - adjustable chin strap. • Comfortable: - polyester strap suspension, - thick foam headband (replaceable).
