The Petzl Vertex is a ventilated helmet for work at height
and rescue.
Comfortable and durable helmet with ventilation, meets requirements for working at height (note: provides no
protection from electrical hazards).
Adjustable ventilation: 5 holes on each side, can be closed with 2 sliding shutters.
Chin strap designed to decrease the risk of the helmet coming off due to impact during a fall (breaking strength of more than 50 daN as required by the EN 12492 mountaineering helmet standard ).
Polycarbonate shell resists impact and wear (EN 397 and EN 12492 standards).
Meets optional requirements of the
EN 397 standard: lateral deformation, use at low temperatures (down to
- 30 °C).
Does not meet optional requirements of the EN 397 standard regarding electrical insulation and molten metal
splash due to the ventilation holes.
Customizable: side slots for mounting a face shield and/or standard hearing protection (Peltor, Bilsom, 3M, etc.).
Shell designed with clearance over the ears to accomodate hearing protection.
Integral headlamp clips.
Simple, complete adjustability: The adjustment wheel allows quick and easy tightening of the headband while
wearing the helmet,even while wearing gloves, and has 2 height positions; chin strap position adjusts forward
or backward, position of straps around the ears can
be adjusted (rear clip with 2 positions), adjustable chin strap.
Comfortable: polyester strap suspension, thick foam headband (replaceable). Head band adjustable from 53 to 63 cm.
