The Petzl Vertex is a ventilated helmet for work at height
and rescue.
Comfortable and durable helmet with ventilation, meets requirements for working at height (note: provides no
protection from electrical hazards).
- Adjustable ventilation: 5 holes on each side, can be closed with 2 sliding shutters.
- Chin strap designed to decrease the risk of the helmet coming off due to impact during a fall (breaking strength of more than 50 daN as required by the EN 12492 mountaineering helmet standard ).
- Polycarbonate shell resists impact and wear (EN 397 and EN 12492 standards).
- Meets optional requirements of the
EN 397 standard: lateral deformation, use at low temperatures (down to
- 30 °C).
- Does not meet optional requirements of the EN 397 standard regarding electrical insulation and molten metal
splash due to the ventilation holes.
- Customizable: side slots for mounting a face shield and/or standard hearing protection (Peltor, Bilsom, 3M, etc.).
- Shell designed with clearance over the ears to accomodate hearing protection.
- Integral headlamp clips.
- Simple, complete adjustability: The adjustment wheel allows quick and easy tightening of the headband while
wearing the helmet,even while wearing gloves, and has 2 height positions; chin strap position adjusts forward
or backward, position of straps around the ears can
be adjusted (rear clip with 2 positions), adjustable chin strap.
- Comfortable: polyester strap suspension, thick foam headband (replaceable). Head band adjustable from 53 to 63 cm.
