Made in the USA, this design takes the clamshell/rope bag to a whole new level. Starting with the belief that form follows function, we re-engineered each component to maximize functionality and durability. The suspension system allows multiple users to customize the fit and to reduce fatigue from heavy loads. The frame board (ABS composite) and aluminum stays, are thin enough to flex and conform, yet strong enough to distribute the weight evenly. The internal gear section is rigged with side release buckles, allowing a wide choice on the arrangement of gear. Opposite this are three mesh pockets for webbing, cord or other rigging products. The main body of the pack, made of 1000D Cordura, will hold 300' of 1/2" rope and the top closure is a twin YKK Zipper track system with an additional On either side of the pack are two large longitudinal pockets with the zippers oriented to be accessible even if the clamshell is open. We use Ballistic Nylon on the bottom and on the top of the shovel pocket to maximize wear resistance. Internal Volume 4,700 c.i. Gear not included.
