Instructions | Petzl Rigging Operations Descent with Rope Recovery The Petzl I'D is a particularly good decsending option. Limited to a single rope descent only, the speed (of descent) is managed with the control hand on the handle of the device. The right hand will remain on the standing end of the rope near the hip.
