The unique shape of this pulley allows the efficient use of prusik hitches as a belay or pulley system ratchets during the raising of rescue loads. It has a premium sealed ball bearing for the ultimate in efficiency. The top hole will accept three rescue carabiners and has a strength of 8000 lbf (35.55 kN). The sheave has a tread diameter of 2 inches (outside diameter of 2.5 inches).
