Rigging Lab | The Elite Rope Training Facility of Rescue Response Gear
The Rigging
Lab at Rescue Response
Gear, a state of the art rope access
and rope rescue training facility, was designed with your training experience
in mind and for the purpose of providing top quality, industry standard training in
tandem with elite instructors.
In the Rigging
Lab our goal is to teach the technique as well as the physics
behind the technique so as to arm students with a complete understanding of the
reason behind the action. You will come out of the lab exhibiting a
comprehensive knowledge of the spectrum of techniques applicable to your niche,
with an understanding of the strengths and limits of those techniques, with the
decision making capabilities for quick evaluation in applying relevant
techniques to real-life scenarios and with the foundation of knowing the
"why" behind it all.
During designated portions of most course schedules you'll be "in class" outside surrounded by central Oregon's beautiful Cascade mountains learning your craft in the high desert while, at times, possibly "rehearsing the maneuver" at world renowned Smith Rock State Park. Once out of the lab you'll be equipped for the vertical
challenges ahead and sure to come back... guaranteed! Come and rig
up.
Our instructors possess a solid background of experience and training. The wide scope of their background is a deep well from which to draw information applicable to the training needs of the student. This in-depth understanding and mastery of subject matter coupled with relevant, ingenious instructional delivery promises our students a top quality learning experience... professional instruction at its best.

It's A Wrap Another kudo of
the Rigging
Lab, it will double as a filming location for Raven Collective
Media, the media professionals of "Brand In Use" who you may have recognized as
those responsible for the production of the latest Rescue Response Gear videos.
Working in coordination with training class sessions in some cases they'll be
on scene shooting video of students in real-time. It is quite possible you
could find yourself playing a role in a future video feature produced from
those that many within the rescue industry have come to respect and appreciate.
One of The Rigging Lab video comments:
"Having stumbled on to a video of the The Rigging Lab I was compelled to write some praise for a job well done. I was struck by the calm, clear and concise delivery of Pat Rhodes. Without a hint of [industry] chauvinism, he refers to other industries as our friends, or buddies
and as competent sources of methods for orchestrating rigging. Avoiding inflammatory words, coupled with sound principles and backed by easily visualized calculations, he ties this into one great learning format… and long overdue. I feel your professional display is right on target for communicating an otherwise intimidating topic for many out there who serve the community at large. Perhaps your motto should read: Learn, Have Fun, Help Others. It doesn't get any better than that." With admirable regards, SB in Anchorage, Alaska
