For the WorkPro, we developed an entirely new approach to rope construction—one that makes for balanced elongation in the core and sheath so they share the load evenly. This makes the WorkPro stronger than other 11 mm ropes of similar construction while retaining a small but important amount of elongation.
We are excited to offer this new tether, in collaboration with Eric Whipple. Similar to our original tether there is a rubber bumper to help keep the wrench from going “neutral”. This version also offers the user the option to use it either with the legs together or separated.
The plastic body clamps over the rope and cleans it with a combination of water pressure and brushing action. The inside is lined with AstroTurf®, which scrubs the rope as it is pulled though the washer. The PVC housing is made with a flexible vinyl hinge co-extruded for longevity. Hook-and-loop fasteners adjust for different rope and hose diameters up to 3/4 in (19 mm).
The CMC 1 Flat Webbing is an excellent piece of gear. The one-inch webbing is constructed to be malleable and while most flat webbing will not hold a great know, the CMC Rescue Flat Webbing has been crafted to allow knots to be set securely as well as easier to untie than softer tubular webbing.
The CMC Anchor Straps are strong, durable and reliable, constructed with two layers of the same mil-spec, resin coated nylon seen in CMC webbing. With varying sizing D-rings and a Sewn-on keeper, this anchor strap stares cuts and abrasions in the face.
