The Petzl CROLL is a toothed, camming, chest ascender. Designed to easily integrate into most Type III rope access and fall arrest harnesses, the CROLL works in tandem with a handled ascender to facilitate upward mobility on rope. It can also function as a stand alone point of contact assuming the technician remains static on his line, such as when aid traversing. The cam slide down with rope progression and then returns to the pinched position when weighted. The teeth of the cam allow good purchase on the rope sheath to ensure no slippage occurs even under less than ideal conditions. A reinforced rope channel ensures longevity of the CROLL.
– CROLL S: compact and lightweight rope clamp. This version has a rope channel that is reinforced with stainless steel, for very harsh environments. For use on 8mm – 11mm (7/16”) ropes.
– CROLL L: rope clamp with wide rope channel for excellent fluidity during ascents. For use on 8mm – 13mm ropes.
