The Petzl ASAP SORBER series are designed to used in conjunction with Petzls ASAP and ASAP lock. They are offered in 20cm and 40cm lengths. Both variations are encased in a textile sleeve to protect the sewn webbing shock absorber inside. A zipper on this sleeve allows for inspection of the shock absorber itself. The Petzl STRING gasket can be attached to the connection points to assure proper orientation.
